The Johns Hopkins University Energetics Research Group (ERG), compiles a log of orbital launch attempts yearly. This log includes the launch vehicle, pad, and payload of each launch attempt. Successful as well as failed launches are included so long as they are considered a legitimate attempt, development launches for example may be excluded, especially if they carry no payload or a dummy payload. The launch needs to be orbital, sub-orbital & ballistic trajectories are not counted.
The data contained in this launch log is pulled from various sources, listed below. The data contained herein are provided for technical reference only, and are not to be construed as official documentation.
